Moose Man Media — a small workshop for instruments and the things played on them. Hardware that behaves like part of the rack, and the music that comes out of it.

Avalanche

VCV Rack · v2

The Mooseman Modular collection for VCV Rack. VCV's stock MIDI modules treat controllers as dumb CC sources — Avalanche keeps hardware state and rack state in sync both directions, so a fader move changes CV and a preset change lights the LEDs. Born on Linux, works everywhere.

Akai MIDIMix

An 8-channel fader and knob bank driving CV, with soft-takeover and LED-lit mutes. The MIDIMix never lights its own buttons — the host does, so the surface reflects the patch.

Launchpad Mini MK3

A clip and scene launcher across the 8×8 grid. Buttons latch or gate; full RGB feedback via SysEx programmer mode shows what is armed and what is playing, turning the grid into a display.

No hardware required

A tempo-synced CV motion looper and multi-segment envelope. Sculpt points directly on the display, or touch-record a knob gesture in-line and let it loop against the clock.
